Thursday Knit Nights

Enjoy four, relaxed evening sessions (6-8p) with refreshments and snacks, while completing a project that teaches new skills.

Larger than our usual class size, Thursday evenings allow for learning from each other, as well as receiving instruction on new techniques as needed.  

Each class registration covers a seat at the table for 4 weeks of Knit Nights, with refreshments and snacks.

***If you want to forgo the class projects and just come for the food and fun, the weekly drop in registration fee is $20***

Class Supplies must be purchased through the shop, a 10% discount will be applied for students.

September 18- October 9th :  Crochet Raffia Tote

A rare find on yarn shop stock lists, Raffia is a natural plant fiber that is perfect for our warm climate. Great for sun hats, beach totes and home accessories. We will explore two designs by Olga Buraya-Kefelian; Cube Tote and Pleat Tote. Students will choose their own design and size. Basic crochet skills needed. If you can crochet a chain, and do single and double crochet, you will be fine. 

Supplies:

2-4 Rolls Ispie Raffia

Crochet Hooks Size D & E

Darning needle

Bloo Gloo (optional) for joining Raffia ends

1 pair of Leather Handles (for Cube tote)

October 23- November 13th :  Fair Isle Dog Sweater

Students will knit the Vargo Dog Sweater by Sari Nordlund

This pattern teaches tubular cast on & bind off, stranded color work & short rows.  Highly modifiable for your dog, big or small. You will learn so many new things with this project! Kathy will guide you every step of the way!  This is an advanced beginner project.  

Supplies:

Contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn.

Suggested Malabrigo Rios or Blue Sky Fibers Sweater or Germantown Worsted. 

2-3 skeins Main Color, 1 skein Contrast color.

16" & 24" circular needles in size to meet gauge.

DPNs in one size smaller than gauge needle.

Stitch markers, darning needle.

Cancellation Policy:

Store credit is offered for cancellations up to 7 days before the first session. No refunds or credits are given for cancellations less than 7 days prior to the first class, or for missed sessions. Makeup sessions are offered at the discretion of the instructor.

If class enrollment does not meet the instructor's minimum, the class may be cancelled and students will receive a full refund for the class fee.  Students will be notified of class cancelations.
