August can feel like a long, lonely slog. Puddleglum might think it his favorite month, as it is ripe for complaint. He would probably have a lament about relentless heat, the tired, languishing garden beds, how all the gatherings are over and done with, and how we shouldn't expect much better.
But the marshes are lush and green from afternoon storms, and September holds the hope of all things fresh and new.
We cannot wait for what's ahead this fall, and are checking in quickly with the 4-1-1 on our opening weekend.

The Southern Living Showcase Home 2025 Tour
As if visiting a new yarn shop isn't enough excitement, when you have had your fill of fabulous fibre, you can take a tour of a most well-positioned home overlooking Habersham Creek & the Broad River. This year's Southern Living Showcase home is in Habersham, designed by our most excellent shop neighbor Dana Bacher Design.
Parking for the Marketplace will be offered on the fields across Cherokee Farms Road which is a short walk across the street to the marketplace. Shuttle transportation to the Showcase home will leave practically from our front door!!!

Dining & Shopping in the Habersham Marketplace
For those coming from the surrounding Lowcountry, you can plan to spend a day in Habersham, shopping and dining. The marketplace offers a good range of dining options, a coffee shop, wine shop, and also small boutiques.
